Combining their passion for woodworking and their desire to “Do Something That Matters,” Darren and Michelle Gillett started a retail endeavor with over 90 other artists called “Scaly Mountain Crafters,” a store that offers hand-crafted items from local artists. Since January 2017, the Gilletts have been business partners with SERV International, a non-profit 501(c)(3) ("SERV"-www.servone.org). To date, SERV and its business partners have provided over 20 million meals globally. A percentage of every item sold by Scaly Mtn. Crafters goes to provide food locally, regionally and globally through SERV projects.
